Ekaterina Alexandrova defeated Jessica Pegula to reach the semifinals of the Miami Open.

Ekaterina Alexandrova triumphed in a nearly two-hour, three-set, three-set battle against American Jessica Pegula, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Alexandrova, will face Danielle Collins on Friday. Collins reached the semifinals after a two-set win over Caroline Garcia of France. In the other semi-final, Elena Rîbakina of Kazakhstan and Victoria Azarenka of Belarus meet.
