The Argentine driver Franco Colapinto will continue to compete for Alpine in the 2026 Formula 1 season, alongside Pierre Gasly, after securing a full-time seat this season by replacing Jack Doohan. Although he had a difficult start, with criticism from advisor Flavio Briatore, Colapinto improved his performances and demonstrated competitiveness in the last six Grands Prix. The Alpine team will switch to Mercedes engines in 2026, and Colapinto expressed his gratitude towards the team and hope that next season will bring good results for the fans.
