Sorana Cîrstea (35, 138 WTA) defeated Croatia's Donna Vekic (29, 53 WTA) in an intense match that lasted two hours and 20 minutes, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3. Cîrstea recorded 7 aces and 3 double faults, while Vekic had 5 aces and 12 double faults. The win gives the Romanian a 5-2 advantage in head-to-head meetings with Vekic, as well as a prize of 18,200 dollars and 35 WTA points.
