The Chelsea club has been sanctioned by the English Football Association for 74 violations of FA regulations, including issues related to agents and investments in players.
Initially, the club received a penalty of six points, suspended until June 30, 2027, but contested this decision. The appeals committee decided to replace the penalty with a suspended transfer ban for two transfer windows, suspended until 2027. The new owners of the club reported these violations in 2022, during the acquisition of the club from Roman Abramovich. Chelsea had previously reached agreements regarding sanctions with the Premier League and UEFA.
