CFR Cluj has saved the honor of Romanian teams in the Conference League

CFR Cluj qualified without emotions in the third preliminary round of the Conference League, after defeating Alashkert 3-0 at home. The Transylvanians controlled the match from start to finish, also benefiting from an early dismissal from the Armenian side, and in the next phase, they will face the Norwegian team Tromso.

U Cluj and FCSB were eliminated from the race for the expanded group of the Conference League. The "Red Caps" lost to the Norwegians from Brann, with an aggregate score of 3-5 (2-2 in Cluj, 1-3 in Bergen), while the Bucharest team represented Romania's negative surprise in European cups: a painful defeat against FK Auda Riga, with a score of 3-7 (2-3 in Bucharest, 1-4 in Riga).
