After five games, Jannik Sinner threw in the towel and withdrew from the final against Carlos Alcaraz, who wins the Cincinnati Masters 1000 for the first time.

"I'm very sorry to have disappointed you. I wasn't feeling too good yesterday. I thought I would feel better overnight. But my condition got worse. I tried to go out and play at least a short match, but I couldn't. I feel very sorry for all of you," Sinner said after the match.
