The sale of a majority stake in the Los Angeles Lakers by the Buss family to TWG Global CEO Mark Walter is confirmed, and Jeanie Buss will continue as a governor of the team. The team's valuation is estimated at $10 billion, making it the largest sale in professional sports. Walter, a minority shareholder from 2021, has emphasized his commitment to the team's values and will work with Jeanie Buss going forward. The deal will be finalized in 2025, after NBA approval.
