The Brazilian midfielder Oscar, at the age of 34, has decided to retire from sports activity due to serious heart problems. After an eight-year career in China, Oscar returned to Sao Paulo in December, but his adventure was short-lived.
In August, a cardiac anomaly was detected after a vertebral fracture, and the situation worsened following a recent stress test, during which he lost consciousness for nearly two minutes. Hospitalized in intensive care, Oscar was affected by these episodes, which led him to give up football. Sao Paulo club intends to integrate him into its organization chart, considering he has a contract valid until 2027.
