Tennis player Ben Shelton defeated Russia's Karen Khachanov 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-6 (3) in the men's final of the Toronto tennis tournament.

Ben Shelton, 22, prevailed in a hard-fought match that ended after two hours and 46 minutes. It was the third title of his career, following titles in Tokyo in 2023 and Houston last year. The Toronto victory will propel Shelton to No. 6 in the world rankings.
