Arina Sabalenka, the world No. 23 player from Belarus, has qualified for the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, beating Belgium's Elise Mertens, ranked 23 in the world, 6-4, 7-6 (7/4). This is her 11th win in 13 head-to-head meetings with Mertens. In the quarterfinals, Sabalenka will face Germany's Laura Siegemund, who, at 37, has now qualified for the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam after beating Argentina's Solana Sierra.
