The lawsuit began in Delaware, with shareholders accusing Facebook of violating a 2012 FTC order by continuing to collect and share user data without consent. Although Facebook has previously paid record fines, shareholders are now asking Zuckerberg and other leaders to bear the costs, estimating total damages at more than $8 billion.
