The official reaction of the Government of Chișinău comes after the SVR claimed that the EU is planning a military intervention in the Republic of Moldova. The Government spokesperson, Daniel Vodă, denounced these claims as hysterical reactions, stating that Russia spreads falsehoods to undermine confidence in the country's European path. President Maia Sandu emphasized that Russia invests large sums to influence elections and provoke disorder, and that Moldovans will freely decide the direction of the country through voting.
