Gheorghe Brînza, the director of the Bălți Clinical Hospital, has been placed in preventive detention for 30 days by the Bălți Court, after being detained by the CNA along with the deputy director Constantin Deliu. He is suspected of abuse of office, influence peddling, and passive corruption, especially in connection with the hospital's public procurement, with the estimated damage being nearly 4 million lei. Following these events, the Minister of Health announced the dismissal of both.
