In 2025, the Republic of Moldova recorded exports to the European Union worth over 2.55 billion USD, with electrical equipment having the highest value, at 496.8 million USD.

Other significant categories included plant products (489.1 million USD), furniture articles (127.9 million USD), fats and oils (122.4 million USD), and wines and beverages (100.4 million USD). These categories account for almost half of the total exports to the EU.

From January to November 2025, Romania was the main trading partner, with a share of 29.2%, followed by Italy, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Bulgaria.

The share of exports to the EU has steadily increased, reaching 68.1% of total Moldovan exports, thus strengthening the European Union's position as the main destination for Moldovan products. This trend reflects an increasingly deep economic integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European market.
