Moldovan Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu stated that his country is dependent on the services of Lukoil, a major player in the oil market in Moldova, which is on the sanctions list of the United States. Although Moldovan officials emphasize the need to align with these sanctions, there is no clear solution for the problems that may arise. Infrastructure Minister Vladimir Bolea mentioned that Lukoil is the sole importer and seller of petroleum products for Chișinău Airport and that the situation is being monitored by a working group. Prime Minister Munteanu emphasized the importance of finding a legal solution to ensure supply, especially of kerosene. Although Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu stated that the sanctions will not affect the Republic of Moldova, challenges remain, and the authorities are seeking solutions to ensure the country's energy security.
