The Republic of Moldova and Poland intend to conclude a new defense agreement to strengthen military cooperation.

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova, Anatolie Nosatîi, made a visit to Warsaw, where he discussed with his Polish counterpart, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, about strengthening cooperation in the field of defense. During the meeting, the possibility of concluding a new intergovernmental agreement that reflects the current security environment and develops collaboration between the two defense institutions was addressed. Nosatîi appreciated Poland's support in training the National Army and modernizing military equipment.

Additionally, the discussions included topics related to the regional security situation, Moldova's European path, and democratic reforms. In the end, the officials reconfirmed their commitment to developing strategic partnerships and projects for the modernization of the defense sector. Nosatîi was part of the delegation led by President Maia Sandu, who made an official visit to Poland.
