In Chișinău, the mayors from the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, and Poland agreed to create a European Group for Territorial Cooperation, aimed at attracting European funds for infrastructure projects. This initiative brings together 240 localities and will allow local authorities to develop projects without the intervention of governments. The available funds exceed 100 million euros, intended for improving infrastructure and community services. The project will be subject to the approval of the governments of the four countries and will be headquartered in Iași.
