The authorities in the Republic of Moldova conducted over 250 searches on Monday as part of an investigation into the organization of disturbances and destabilization actions coordinated from the Russian Federation. Former president Igor Dodon accused the current regime of trying to intimidate opponents ahead of the elections on September 28, claiming that the searches target his colleagues. These actions are carried out by officers of the National Investigation Inspectorate and aim to prevent external influences on the elections.
