On the night before the parliamentary elections, government platforms in the Republic of Moldova were hit by over 14 million cyberattacks, according to the Information Technology and Cyber Security Service. Authorities managed to detect and block all attempts. The main targets were the websites of the Central Electoral Commission and the Public Services Agency. STISC temporarily suspended the operation of non-essential websites to minimize risks. Previously, authorities warned that compromised Wi-Fi networks from homes could have been used for attacks on the CEC infrastructure.
