During her visit to Bucharest, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had a meeting with His Holiness Bartolomeu, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, who is in Romania for the consecration service of the National Cathedral's painting. The discussions focused on the importance of faith in promoting peace, solidarity, and understanding among people, as well as on preserving the Christian values that unite communities. Maia Sandu expressed the gratitude of Moldovan citizens for the spiritual support of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and reaffirmed Moldova's commitment to being a pillar of peace and dialogue among nations. The ceremony was attended by numerous believers and officials from Romania and other countries. During the visit, Maia Sandu will have other meetings, including with the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan.
