On December 22, 2025, a fire broke out at the 'Iulia Hasdeu' Theoretical High School in Chișinău, resulting in the evacuation of 1,200 students, 87 teaching staff, and 10 auxiliary employees. The call to the 112 Service was received at 10:43, and five fire crews responded quickly. The fire was located at an electrical panel on the third floor and was completely extinguished in just a few minutes, without any casualties recorded. The evacuation was carried out in an organized manner, thanks to previous evacuation drills conducted at the institution. In the last 24 hours, firefighters have responded to 23 risk situations at the national level.
