The president of USR, Dominic Fritz, stated that Diana Buzoianu will remain in the position of Minister of the Environment, despite the vote on the simple motion in the Senate, supported by PSD and AUR. Fritz emphasized that USR will not withdraw from the coalition and will continue its commitment to the reform of the Romanian state, highlighting that the simple motion has no legal effects on the dismissal of the minister. He called on the PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, to explain the violation of the coalition protocol, which prohibits voting on motions against government members. Fritz accused PSD and AUR of trying to distract attention from issues related to justice, emphasizing that USR will continue the fight for justice in Romania. The motion was adopted with 74 votes in favor and 43 against, but it has no power of dismissal.
