Radu Miruță announces that USR proposes a rotation in the government between a minority executive PNL-USR-UDMR and a monocolor PSD cabinet.

Radu Miruță, the interim Minister of Defense and a member of the National Bureau of USR, stated that his party proposes a rotation in governance between a minority executive formed by PNL, USR, and UDMR and a monocolor PSD cabinet. In an interview for Digi24, Miruță explained that this solution is a reaction to the current political constraints, mentioning that USR will not support a PSD government due to the lack of social acceptability.

He emphasized that society would not accept PSD taking control of state institutions, considering the recent scandals and collaboration with AUR. Discussions between the leaders of PNL, USR, and UDMR are ongoing, and if the solution is accepted, a name for the prime minister position will be sought. Miruță stated that once the right-wing parties agree on this rotation, identifying a prime minister will be an easily achievable step.
