The US military has carried out a raid in Syria, killing a senior ISIS leader and two of his sons without harming civilians.

Dhiya' Zawba Muslih al-Hardani, an ISIS leader, along with his sons, was killed in a US military raid in Syria, according to CENTCOM. They posed a threat to US forces and the Syrian government. Although ground raids are rare, the US continues to conduct anti-ISIS missions, with recent success in eliminating and capturing members of the group. Gen. Erik Kurilla emphasized the U.S. commitment to pursue ISIS terrorists wherever they may be.
