In the framework of the Romania - USA Strategic Dialogue, the United States recognized Romania's role as a key partner in ensuring energy security, according to a joint statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Minister Oana Ţoiu received the American Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Christopher W. Smith, before the tenth session of the dialogue. The delegations discussed progress in bilateral cooperation, highlighting Romania's role as a regional energy hub and opportunities for American businesses. Collaboration will continue in the field of reliable energy, including through the construction of Reactors 3 and 4 at Cernavodă and the development of gas resources in the Black Sea. The importance of border security and cooperation in combating organized crime and cyber threats was also emphasized, benefiting both nations.
