The Presidential Administration firmly reacted to the accusations made by George Simion, the leader of AUR, who claimed that a presidential advisor had been mandated to contact him to ensure the support of Parliament in favor of the Cabinet led by Adrian Veștea. Representatives of the Cotroceni Palace emphasized that the president has no connection to the discussions mentioned and does not use underground methods in Romanian politics.

The administration stated that it is excluded that the head of state authorized any discussion with political parties to obtain a majority. These statements come in response to Simion's claims, who accused the presidential camp of amateurism and disrespect towards AUR. Simion mentioned that he was contacted by an associate of Nicușor Dan, who tried to obtain support without offering favorable conditions for AUR.

"The President of Romania has no knowledge of the conversation referred to by Mr. Simion. It is excluded that the head of state mandated any advisor to hold discussions with representatives of political parties or parliamentary groups in order to obtain a majority in Parliament," the Presidential Administration conveyed.
