Ilie Bolojan announces the preparation of the budget until the end of next week. The retirement age will increase in fields with a personnel deficit.

Prime Minister Bolojan emphasized the importance of quickly adopting a realistic budget, with the aim of finalizing discussions regarding allocations and investment projects by the end of next week. Before finalizing the budget, the Government will adopt packages for administration and economic recovery. Bolojan mentioned that measures for savings are being analyzed, including a 10% reduction in administrative expenses, through a personnel audit to identify overstaffing.

Additionally, the Prime Minister discussed raising the retirement age in the fields of public order and defense, arguing that this is a necessity for the sustainability of the pension fund and for reducing budgetary expenses. Bolojan highlighted demographic challenges, emphasizing that it is not sustainable to retire active employees at very young ages, considering that the generations retiring are much larger than those succeeding them.
