The coalition formed by PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR is meeting to address the cutting of positions in municipalities, a measure promised nearly two months ago. The meeting was postponed to allow PSD to resolve its internal issues, including setting the date for the Congress to elect a new leadership. Coalition leaders believe that this Congress is essential for unblocking important decisions. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan warned that without a decision this week, the elections in Bucharest cannot be organized this year, and Ciprian Ciucu mentioned that PSD could threaten to break the coalition.
