Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of the PSD, stated that his party will not support salary cuts for public employees, rejecting the idea that the postponed discussions within the coalition are related to the partial elections on December 7. In a press statement, he emphasized that the PSD has unanimously decided not to support the 10% salary reductions recently discussed at the governmental level.

Grindeanu mentioned that, although discussions on the topic of streamlining the activities of the central apparatus remain open, the PSD's position is firm regarding the maintenance of salaries. He emphasized that he hopes those who support the cuts will abandon these ideas, reaffirming that the PSD will not leave the government in the event of such a decision.
