Radu Miruță, the dismissed Minister of Defense, wants clarifications from Ukraine regarding the maritime drone that self-detonated in the Port of Constanța.

Miruță emphasized that, in a country at war, priorities change rapidly, but it is essential for Ukraine to communicate effectively, especially in cases where control over drones is lost. The Minister of Defense insisted that, in such situations, it is legitimate for Ukraine to inform the Romanian authorities about possible threats, which did not happen until 20 minutes before the drone's self-detonation. This lack of communication has generated concerns and highlighted the need for closer collaboration between the two countries.

"We need clarifications from Ukraine, with some evidence, whether they knew earlier and did not announce it, or if they only found out 20 minutes before, what was Ukraine's concern in that area regarding these drones. They may not have wanted to come there with them, but they originated from there, as this is a certain fact, and what aim they would have had in the Black Sea. That is, there are some questions for which Romania, with its institutions, narrows down some answers, but in a partner country and in a country to which Romania offers all the support it can, such as the partnership, and it is a partnership with Ukraine, clarifications must also come from the Ukrainian side after which we do not necessarily have to go to obtain them by doing such an invoice engineering in Romania, but to see this extraordinarily clear sequence from their side," said Radu Miruță on Sunday evening, on B1 TV.
