The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, highlighted on Tuesday Romania's constant support for the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, during the meeting with the President of the Parliament of Chișinău, Igor Grosu, who is on a visit to Bucharest. Abrudean reaffirmed Romania's commitment to the European path of the Republic of Moldova and emphasized the excellent political dialogue and bilateral cooperation between the two states.

He stressed the importance of strengthening coordination between Romanian and Moldovan institutions in a complex regional context. Igor Grosu conveyed a message of solidarity, emphasizing the need for a predictable relationship between the two countries. The meeting was also attended by other officials, including the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Romania, Mihai Mîțu, and Romanian senators.
