The Romanian authorities have decided to ban the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, and two other Moldovan citizens from entering Romania and the Schengen area, citing national security reasons. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Țoiu, emphasized that this measure applies throughout the Schengen area and that the details of the justification for this decision are at the discretion of the competent institutions. This was announced at a press conference with her Moldovan counterpart Mihai Popșoi.
