President Nicușor Dan says Romania supports the European Commission's negotiations with the US on the imposition of customs duties, in the interest of citizens and business.

Nicușor Dan said Romania supports efforts by the European Commission, led by Ursula von der Leyen, to reach an agreement with the US before August 1, in the context of possible 30% tariffs on EU goods. The EU is ready to protect its interests through proportionate countermeasures, warning that these tariffs could affect transatlantic supply chains, harming businesses and consumers in both regions.
