The President of the Chamber of Deputies, PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu, announces zero tolerance for acts of sabotage and subversion orchestrated by the Russian Federation on Romanian territory after the Romanian Intelligence Service announced the identification of a sabotage network coordinated from the Russian Federation, involved in the fire that broke out on 14 September 2026 at the Carfil industrial platform in Braşov.
“Zero tolerance for acts of sabotage and subversion orchestrated by the Russian Federation on Romanian territory!
We will not accept any violation of the sovereignty and security of the Romanian state, and such acts cannot remain unsanctioned.
The fire at the arms factory in Braşov shows the hybrid aggression resorted to by the Russian state, part of a broader context in which the escalation in the Black Sea basin overlaps—with the recent drone attacks.
These incidents cannot be considered accidental.
They demonstrate a strategy directed against NATO states.
Therefore, national security must be strengthened, and the role of the security institutions is essential during this period of multiple challenges, especially with regard to prevention.
Protecting Romanians and Romania’s critical infrastructure is our number one priority,” the President of the Chamber of Deputies conveyed on Facebook.
