Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan had a meeting with Gunther Krichbaum, the German Minister of State for Europe, at the Victoria Palace. The discussions focused on Germany's support for military defense on the Eastern Flank and the continuation of troop participation in Romania. Bolojan emphasized that Germany is Romania's main trading partner and highlighted the opportunities for expanding economic collaboration, especially in the field of security and defense, through accessing 16.68 billion euros from the European program Security Action for Europe (SAFE).
The Prime Minister mentioned that Romania will finalize the list of national projects for funding, focusing on equipping the army and developing the defense industry. Additionally, there was a discussion about Romania's support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova. Other government officials also participated in the meeting.
