Rareș Bogdan recommends that the lawmakers of the Liberal-Conservative Platform within the PNL vote for the “undercover Bolojan Government 2”

Liberal MEP Rareș Bogdan recommended on Wednesday that the 23 parliamentarians of the Liberal-Conservative Platform within the PNL vote for the future government, which he called the “undercover Bolojan Government 2.” He argued that Romania urgently needs a stable government with full powers, warning that, without one, the country’s situation could worsen.

Rareș Bogdan stated that political instability is affecting hospitals, infrastructure, local projects, and the payment of employees involved in projects financed through European funds. He particularly criticized the measures attributed to Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, including tax increases and possible spending cuts that would affect people with disabilities, social scholarships, and other vulnerable groups.

The liberal MEP argued that the current prime minister’s policies have reduced public trust and harmed the economy. He accused Bolojan of trying to secure PSD’s support, although he had previously allegedly ruled out negotiations with this party, and mentioned the discussions held with Sorin Grindeanu.

Rareș Bogdan also said that Romania could have had a government as early as June, after Adrian Veștea’s candidacy was rejected. In his opinion, an Executive with seven liberal ministers could have been formed at that time. The statements were published on Facebook and represent the personal position of the MEP.
