Radu Marinescu, the Minister of Justice and a member of the CSM by right, stated that he did not sign the complaint filed by the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) against Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu, who was accused of incitement to hatred and discrimination. He explained that the complaint involves a personal injury, which cannot be reported by an administrative body, but by judges or prosecutors. CSM decided to notify the Prosecutor's Office after Oana Gheorghiu's statements, in which she compared the special pension system to a Caritas, stating that Romania cannot afford special pensions. CSM requested representatives of the executive power to maintain balance in public discourse and to avoid irresponsible judgments that could undermine the independence of the judiciary.
