PSD leaders claim that the motion of censure against the Government of Ilie Bolojan will pass with a comfortable number of votes, above the necessary threshold, estimating "over 270 parliamentarians" who would vote for dismissal, even without support from PNL. The statements were reportedly made during an internal meeting, where the party leadership expressed confidence in the success of the motion.
"We have 270 votes plus, and that without the votes from PNL," Claudiu Manda.
In the same context, Sorin Grindeanu allegedly accused the prime minister of failed attempts to convince PSD parliamentarians not to vote for the motion, stating that his "emissaries" "failed miserably." According to sources, the social-democratic leader harshly criticized these efforts, which he described as negotiations for positions and advantages, not for principles, even using the term "bribery" to characterize the situation.
"Bolojan's emissaries directed by Motreanu, who went out to buy votes, failed miserably today. All PSD parliamentarians resisted the assault," Sorin Grindeanu
