Prime Minister Luca Niculescu will not attend the “Prime Minister’s Hour” debate in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies on Monday, November 2, where he had been invited by the AUR parliamentary group to present the budget execution situation and the deficit level. At 4:00 p.m., when the debate was scheduled, the head of government will be holding consultations with representatives of the trade union confederations.
The AUR request was approved by the Permanent Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies, but the prime minister’s participation had to be confirmed by the government. Government spokesperson Dan Cărbunaru announced that Parliament had been informed of Niculescu’s absence.
AUR had requested explanations regarding budget execution, the state’s debts and outstanding payments, as well as the actual level of the budget deficit. On the same day, the prime minister is scheduled to attend, at 9:00 a.m., the ceremony for signing the documents through which the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova becomes a partner in the SAFE project concerning multifunctional wheeled automotive transport platforms. The consultations with the trade unions will take place at the same time as the parliamentary debate.
