Ilie Bolojan stated that raising the retirement age is essential to ensure an active workforce, considering that current generations are retiring in large numbers, while future ones are significantly smaller. Without this measure, the pension system could become unsustainable in the next five to ten years. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of responsibility and seriousness in implementing economic reforms, including measures for recovery, and highlighted that proposals coming from the coalition or outside of it are welcome, as long as they contribute to efficiency and investment.
