Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, together with Deputy Prime Minister Cătălin Predoiu and the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Finance, analyzed on Sunday, during a videoconference with the prefects, the status of approximately 5,300 contracts funded through the PNRR. Bolojan requested the prefects to organize urgent meetings with local authorities to centralize data regarding the progress of the projects, with a reporting deadline by May 26, at 3:00 PM. Projects in the fields of development, environment, and education must be completed by the end of August to avoid losing funds. Additionally, the possibility of transferring unfinished projects to the loan component was discussed. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of collecting complete and verifiable information, and technical discussions will continue in view of negotiations with the European Commission. Legislative measures were established to meet the PNRR milestones, including new draft laws that are to be submitted to Parliament.
