At the meeting of the heads of mission of EU member states, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan highlighted the economic and security priorities of the Romanian Government. The security of the Black Sea remains a major priority, and Romania supports EU initiatives to increase competitiveness, simplify legislation, and ensure energy security through interconnection. In the economic field, Bolojan emphasized the need for financial stabilization, reducing the budget deficit, and implementing the revised PNRR, which will support investments in infrastructure and digitalization. Additionally, the Government aims to modernize the army and relaunch the defense industry. Romania will continue to support Ukraine and its EU expansion, including for the Republic of Moldova. The Prime Minister thanked member states for their support in Romania's accession to the OECD, targeted for 2026.
