In the new executive negotiated by PNL, PSD, USR and UDMR, President Nicușor Dan will have the final say in the appointment of ministers, with a veto over proposals. The Social Democrats are expected to win the most portfolios, while the PNL aims to keep the current ministries and win the development ministry, now held by the UDMR. USR wants Justice and Foreign Affairs, and the names of preferred ministers are largely the same as before, contrary to Dan's desire to bring in new faces.
