PNL announces, on Tuesday, that Adrian Veştea is outside the National Liberal Party under the conditions in which the designation was made without the approval of the statutory bodies of PNL, violating the party's Statute.

PNL reminds that the National Political Bureau voted with a clear majority against PNL's participation in a government with PSD (39 votes for, 10 against, 4 abstentions), against supporting a government led by Adrian Veştea (41 votes for, 13 against, 2 abstentions) and for the request addressed to him to resign as designated prime minister (39 votes for, 13 against, 3 abstentions).

"In the meeting of the National Political Bureau on June 15, the National Liberal Party adopted, in accordance with Article 111 of the PNL Statute, a series of binding decisions regarding the party's position in the current political context.

The designation of Adrian Veştea to form a government was made without the approval of the statutory bodies of PNL, violating the party's Statute.

PNL believes that the government formula proposed by Adrian Veştea actually leads to the formation of a government led and supported by PSD, contrary to the decisions adopted by the National Political Bureau.

According to Article 45 paragraph (3) and Article 26 paragraph (2) letter b) of the PNL Statute, the decisions of the party's governing bodies are binding for all members. By continuing this action against the decisions adopted by the National Political Bureau, Adrian Veştea is outside the National Liberal Party.

We remind that the National Political Bureau voted with a clear majority against PNL's participation in a government with PSD (39 votes for, 10 against, 4 abstentions), against supporting a government led by Adrian Veştea (41 votes for, 13 against, 2 abstentions) and for the request addressed to him to resign as designated prime minister (39 votes for, 13 against, 3 abstentions)", writes in the PNL statement.
