The Extraordinary Congress of the PNL will take place at the Parliament Palace, bringing together 1,200 delegates from all over the country. Ilie Bolojan is the candidate for president and ten liberals are running for first vice-presidents. The vote will be secret and the delegates will also validate the regional vice-presidents, who will be part of the National Executive Bureau. Interim President Ilie Bolojan took office after the resignation of Nicolae Ciucă, who did poorly in the presidential elections.
