The National Political Bureau of PNL decided, in the meeting on July 20, to dismiss the presidents and dissolve the political bureaus of six county and sector branches, including PNL Ialomița and PNL Galați. The decision, adopted with two-thirds of the votes, is part of Ilie Bolojan's strategy to strengthen local organizations and make their activities more efficient.

Controversies have arisen within the party, with dissenting leaders requesting that the changes be made through internal elections, not imposed decisions. Additionally, the BPN validated the composition of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Popular Studies, which will include, among others, the president of PNL, Ilie Bolojan, and former party presidents.
