Nicușor Dan, the president of Romania, stated that in the first round of the presidential elections he obtained 21% of the votes and that he needs to collaborate with a majority of 50% to implement his agenda. In a meeting with Romanians in London, he was asked about people from the old system who hold key positions, responding that they were elected and that changes will come in time.
Dan emphasized Romania's progress in the last two decades, mentioning that, although there is corruption, the current ministers are not suspected of irregularities. He acknowledged that a perfect system cannot be achieved quickly, but promised that small steps are being taken towards improvement.
