Nicușor Dan, the mayor of the Capital, expressed his support for the USR proposal to appoint Roxana Rizoiu as the Ombudsman, mentioning that he received positive references about her. Dan criticized the current Ombudsman, Renate Weber, stating that her actions were not in the interest of the people, citing a complaint that favored real estate developers. USR announced that Rizoiu is not politically affiliated, although she lent Nicușor Dan 120,000 lei during the campaign for the presidential elections. Additionally, Roxana Rizoiu receives a special pension of approximately 28,000 lei per month, retiring at the age of 50.
