President Nicușor Dan excluded the possibility of Romania being downgraded to "junk" status by rating agencies, emphasizing that he will personally get involved in the evaluation process, which will take place in July and August. He urged party leaders to be available for economic evaluators, assuring them that there is a consensus on the fundamental issues affecting the Romanian economy.

"I am optimistic that we will avoid a downgrade that would be catastrophic for us," said Nicușor Dan. He was asked about the possibility of the future Government collaborating with the IMF in case of a deterioration of the economic situation, to which he responded that, in the event of negative reports, Romania will regret the current moments. The President emphasized the importance of political alignment in the face of economic challenges.
