At the end of his visit to Paris, President Nicușor Dan stated that Romania is ready to shoot down drones that may violate the country's airspace, in the context of recent incidents involving Russian drones. The president emphasized that, before the war in Ukraine, the training of the Romanian army was traditional, but after February 2022, significant technological adaptation has been made. He stated that Romania is now better prepared than in the past and that, in the near future, capabilities will continue to improve, thus ensuring an effective response to aerial threats.
